Our First Lady
MRS. CYNTHIA D. COLBERT is the First Lady of Stephen Temple Church of God in Christ in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She has been married to Superintendent Theodore Colbert, Pastor, for over 42 years. She has two children, Theodore Lamont, daughter-in-law Shamara and Kristen Colbert, and three grandchildren, Shanay, Doron, and DeMaris. Missionary Colbert was educated in the Mott Community College and Baker College where she obtained her AS and BA degree in Business Administration. She is gifted in time-management skills, and she is a great organizer and facilitator.
Missionary Colbert is the Director of the Women’s Ministry at Stephen Temple church; this department is designed to help women to become excellent in their everyday living and spiritual walk with God, and women are trained, enabling them to meet the challenges they may face in their day to day activities. She has a special compassion for women, giving special focus to their individual concerns.
Sponsoring activities such as seminars, workshops, retreats, etc, are planned for women of all ages. The Women’s’ activities retreats are always popular, lending support with dynamic and inspirational speakers.
Her favorite topics include Breaking Through to the Blessed Life, Duties of Holy Women, A Wise Woman Buildeth Her House, Women of Faith, Prayer and Spiritual Warfare, Re-dig the Wells of Prayer, and Investing for Women – Taking Control of Your Finances. In her local church, she serves as President of the Home & Foreign Mission department, Minister’s Wives Circle, and Ways & Means. In the Michigan Historic First Jurisdiction (Northeast), she serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Women’s Department. Lady Cynthia Colbert believes every woman of God should pursue and discover what they should be in the Lord as they look to God’s model, striving to be a Woman of Excellence.
